Growing up in Japan and spending most of her childhood moving around different states in America, Jessica Miyuki quickly fell in love with traveling at a young age. The various colors and hues that were prevalent throughout her travels had a deep impact on her design style. Each state, country, or beach has its own natural theme and color palette which come through prominently in her designs. As a self proclaimed beach bum, it’s no surprise that tropical islands are her favorite. If she's not painting, crocheting, or tie dyeing, you can find her at the beach playing volleyball or surfing. Of course when the waves are flat, she just brings the ocean to the asphalt, cruising around on her skateboard.
Her background in surfing and knowledge of beach culture led her to one of the biggest companies in the marketplace, Billabong. While working there she utilized her talents creating artwork for bikinis, apparel, wetsuits, surfboards, and accessories for women's and girl's categories across all global regions including: USA, Europe, Australia, and her home country of Japan. You may recognize many of her original artworks appearing in international online marketing campaigns, in-store displays, and email blasts.
