Greg Kaplan's art was featured as the official artwork for 2014's Vans Triple Crown Surf Contest. This piece was a part of the original series that Greg produced for the event, and was also featured in 2015's dual exhibition "Double Shaka" with Yusuke Hanai & Greg Kaplan.

"I wanted the art to feel different than the look from last years Sunset contest, so I decided to create a wooden collage using the same technique that I use to make most of my art pieces. For the event logo and text I carved large pieces of linoleum and printed straight onto the painted wood. I get pretty psyched on this whole process and have missed lots of good surf and skate sessions due to it, but to me there’s nothing better, working with your hands, having a vision and watching your ideas change and evolve as you go…"
